4,149 tons of goods were traded on the Product Exchange last week

During this week, 4,149 tons of goods were traded on the Novi Sad Product Exchange, which represents an increase in turnover of 107.66 percent compared to the previous week.

The total financial value was EUR 773 thousand, 88.43 percent more than last week, it was stated in the weekly report of the Product Exchange.

As in the previous two weeks, corn was the primary crop in trading, and a new crop of corn was also traded. The corn market was quite calm this week with uniform activity of participants in terms of supply and demand. Nevertheless, the most traded corn this week was corn, which accounted for 60 percent of the total turnover. Corn was traded in the price range from 0.14 to 0.15 EUR/kg without VAT, with a noticeable downward trend in the price as the week drew to a close.

The weighted price was 0.14 EUR/kg without VAT, which is a price drop of 1.36 percent compared to the previous week. At the end of the week, stock exchange contracts were concluded for corn of the new crop with aflatoxin analysis up to 10 ppb at a price of 0.15 to 0.16 EUR/kg without VAT.

During this week, no major activity of participants was recorded on the wheat market, where the supply was somewhat weaker than the demand.

During the whole week, the demand for fodder wheat was also noticeable.

Wheat was traded at a price of 0.17 to 0.19 EUR/kg without VAT, depending on quality parameters and parity of sale.

The weighted price was 0.17 EUR/kg without VAT, so compared to the previous week, a price drop of 0.61 percent was observed. In the total volume of turnover this week, the share of wheat was 23 percent.
When it comes to the soybean market, the supply of soybeans was weak or completely absent for almost the entire week. Only at the end of the week was demand weaker than supply. Soybeans were traded at a price of 0.47 to 0.48 EUR/kg without VAT, with the calculation of quality.
