Czech Mitas builds new unit for production of pneumatics – investment worth EUR 14m

Czech company Mitas, European leader in production of pneumatics for heavy building and agricultural machines, plans to build a new unit in Ruma where it already owns the company formerly known as Rumaguma.

About 200 people should get jobs in the new unit in order for the production of pneumatics to grow from current 290,000 to 450,000 pieces.

Mitas plans to invest EUR 14m in the new unit, which should be finished in 2011. Mitas supplies tires made in Ruma to the largest manufacturers of building and agricultural machines such as John Deere and Caterpillar.
