The realization of the energy rehabilitation program for Serbian households is coming to an end

Preliminary ranking lists of citizens who have fulfilled the conditions to receive state subsidies for the replacement of carpentry, facade insulation or the installation of more energy-efficient boilers, were announced by 21 municipalities and the cities.
The signing of the first contracts is expected to start these days. The state provides 50 percent of the funds needed for the realization of this work, and the other half is provided by the citizens.
67 units of local self-government are participating in the program of energy rehabilitation of residential buildings, family houses and apartments. The Ministry of Energy states that so far, 57 municipalities and cities have announced a public call for citizens, and almost all of them will do so by the end of this week. Local self-government units that have completed the competition for households have published lists of those citizens who have met all the conditions for the allocation of subsidies.
– Local commissions for the implementation of energy efficiency measures are currently on the ground to determine the situation – they explain to us in the Ministry. – Depending on the scope of work and internal procedures, we expect that some of the local self-government units will publish the final ranking lists these days, and that the first signing of contracts with citizens will begin.
The city of Belgrade has not yet announced a competition for the selection of companies that will perform the works. The Ministry says that they expect that it will be done by the end of September at the latest. When that public call is completed and the final ranking list of companies that will perform the works is announced, a competition for citizens will be announced.
The maximum amounts that are awarded per application vary from municipality to municipality and depend on the remediation measure for which they are intended, but generally range from 500 to 1000 euros with VAT. For the installation of PVC joinery for an apartment of 50 square meters, it is necessary to set aside about 750 euros, and half of those costs are covered by the state. About 2.5 thousand euros are needed for the installation of facade and roof insulation and a more efficient heating system, Novosti reports.
