The Executive Board of the National Bank of Serbia adopted a decision on determining the list of nine systemically important banks in Serbia and the rate of capital protection for those banks.
The adopted decision requires banks that have been identified as systemically important in Serbia to maintain additional basic share capital in the amount of 1.0 or 2.0 percent of the bank’s risky assets, depending on the degree of their systemic importance.
Within its competence to determine measures and activities to preserve and strengthen the stability of the financial system, the National Bank of Serbia at least once a year determines the list of banks in Serbia that are systemically important and the rates of the protective layer of capital for those banks.
Systemically important banks are: Banka Inteza, OTP, Rajfajzen, Unikredit banka Srbija, NLB Komercijalna, Banka Poštanska štedionica, AIK banka, Erste banka and Eurobank Direktna.
