“Customs concessions have come into effect as of today”

The Regulation amending the Regulation on customs procedures and customs formalities, aimed at facilitating business operations of economic entities and improving the business environment in Serbia, as well as aligning with other European and national regulations, has come into force today.

The most significant change concerns the provision of joint security for customs procedures, except for transit.

A new feature is the ability to deposit funds into the Customs Administration account designated for such purposes as a form of joint security or guarantee, providing an additional advantage for the business community.

The new guarantees are no longer time-limited.With the amendments to the Regulation on customs procedures and customs formalities, the validity period of active guarantees has been extended, allowing their use until their expiry date, but no later than March 31, 2024.
