Serbia’s national airline, Air Serbia, announced that it has transported over 4.19 million passengers since the beginning of the year, surpassing the total number of passengers flown in the record year of 2023. According to the statement, current projections and planned traffic volumes suggest that the airline will end 2024 with around 4.4 million passengers, marking the second-best result in the company’s history, which spans more than 97 years.
Air Serbia’s CEO, Jiri Marek, emphasized that the company recognizes the high expectations of its passengers and will continue to improve all aspects of its operations to meet their trust.
“In less than a year, we have earned the trust of over 4.19 million passengers who chose Air Serbia for their travels. We remain committed to growing and improving, listening to the needs of our passengers, and offering them even more travel options,” said Marek.
The company also reported that in November 2024, Air Serbia transported 295,828 passengers from Belgrade, Niš, and Kraljevo and conducted 3,427 flights to over 60 destinations across Europe, Asia, and North America.
Over the past three years, Air Serbia has nearly doubled its network, expanding with almost 50 new destinations. The airline plans to continue expanding its flight offerings in the coming year.
In addition to Shanghai, China, where Air Serbia will begin flights on January 11, 2025, the airline also plans to introduce direct flights to popular Mediterranean islands during the upcoming summer season, offering passengers even more holiday options.
