In the Subotica Business Zone Mali Bajmok, the cornerstone for the first phase of the new factory of the Austrian company Feller d.o.o., which specializes in the production and distribution of power cables, was laid. The factory currently employs 50 workers, with the completion of the first phase of construction expected by the end of March 2025.
After relocating the existing production operations to the new facility, which will be located within the Subotica Free Zone, plans include the construction of two additional halls and the hiring of 100 to 150 new workers within the next two years, as announced on the City of Subotica’s website.
Subotica’s Assistant Mayor, Srđan Samardžić, emphasized the importance of investments like this for improving the quality of life for residents and the city’s budget. He highlighted that every new investment brings new business opportunities and accelerates the city’s development.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by company owner Barbara Ašer, her son Vincent, and Feller’s director Nebojša Milošević. The construction work will be carried out by SMB Gradnja, a local company from Subotica.
