Veli secures investment from Omorika Fund to expand crypto investment platform in Europe and the Middle East

The startup company Veli has raised investment from Omorika, a new venture capital fund, completing its first round of financing. With this investment, Veli plans to accelerate the development of key technological solutions for cryptocurrency brokerage platforms and private banks looking to enter the crypto space. Additionally, Veli aims to expand its development and sales teams and venture into the European and Middle Eastern markets, as stated in the announcement.

The platform developed by Veli has been available in the European market since 2024. It is designed for financial advisors, private bankers, and wealth managers, providing them with tools to manage cryptocurrency investments, alongside the use of specially developed investment strategies.

“We launched Veli with the idea of helping investors who are new to the crypto and tokenized economy world to invest like experienced investors. What we realized is that most people still prefer direct contact with a real person, so we built a platform where professionals can manage their portfolios,” said Stevan Radonjanin, co-founder and CEO of the Veli startup.

A fund dedicated to innovation

The Omorika Ventures fund focuses on supporting technological innovations in the early stages of development. The fund’s director and managing partner, Miloš Matić, stated that Veli has created “something that he believes is missing in the financial industry.”

“The platform enables financial advisors to easily access the crypto market, manage their clients and their portfolios, and use mathematically developed investment strategies. Our goal is to support founders who are redefining industry standards,” said Matić.

Co-founder and CTO Marko Selaković, who has previously founded several startups, added that most crypto applications are complex and difficult to use.

Additionally, the company has used the latest technologies from the very beginning and built a scalable architecture that allows easy addition of new services and customization of the platform to meet the needs of banks and other financial institutions, which are increasingly showing interest in the crypto market.”
