Portugal fully endorses Serbia’s EU integration process

Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic talked yesterday with Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs Luis Amado about Serbia’s EU integration process, plans for future steps and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Djelic presented two ideas for improving financial relations between the EU and the Western Balkan countries to Amado, the first being related to an increase in pre-accession financial support, and the second refers to securing guarantees for accessing the EU capital market.

Amado stressed that Portugal fully endorses Serbia’s EU integration process, underlining that it will back the decision on the status and the date for the beginning of talks on EU membership.
