Djukic-Dejanovic talked with Fuele

Serbian Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic had talks with EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele, who has encouraged Serbia on the course to the full-fledged EU membership. Dejanovic informed Fuele that the Parliament adopted amendments to the Rules so that the independence of regulatory bodies would not be endangered, the Assembly communicated. Referring to the abolition of blank resignations, another important suggestion of the EC in regard to the work of the Serbian Assembly, she said that a Working Group was formed that sent the proposed amendments to the Law on Election of MPs to the Venice Commission, whose opinion is yet to be received. Fuele stressed the importance of the Parliament in the process of Serbia’s European integration and pointed out that the adoption and enforcement of laws envisaged by the Action Plan is of great importance.
