EPS ensures stable winter power supply and maintains current prices

Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović, in an interview with Kurir, highlighted that the production of the electric “Panda” in Kragujevac’s Fiat plant is a testament to Serbia’s forward-looking innovation and technological development, establishing the country as a pioneer in these fields.

Reflecting on her first hundred days in office, she stated that the true assessment of her performance will come from citizens, businesspeople, entrepreneurs and everyone connected to her ministry.

“We have initiated numerous processes and issued a record number of public calls for financial support to the economy. Over the past three months, I have made it a priority to visit as many businesspeople and entrepreneurs as possible. Our focus is on improving the economic status of citizens and their standard of living, which can only be achieved by strengthening the private sector. The success of our economy is directly linked to the private sector’s performance,” Minister Mesarović emphasized.

Addressing critics of lithium mining, she argued that their opposition lacks substance, describing it as a “dirty political campaign.”

“The fear of jadarite is propagated only by opposition manipulators and their allies, who themselves invited ‘Rio Tinto’ to Serbia in 2001. We will continue to rigorously evaluate the justification of every new project from all angles. Our priority is the health of our people and the preservation of our land, and we do not compromise on these values. The implementation of the highest ecological standards is a prerequisite for everything,” concluded Mesarović.
