Ten second-year students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, specializing in energy, have received support from Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), which is funding their tuition fees. This initiative has sparked a notable increase in interest from academics in the energy course at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF).
EPS is committed to supporting the best students from technical faculties and is currently running a scholarship competition for the top 30 students from the Faculties of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mining and Geology. Additionally, EPS has announced a job opening for 19 engineers at the “Thermoelectric Power Plant Nikola Tesla” in Obrenovac, offering permanent contracts to the selected candidates. The application deadline for this job competition is November 15.
EPS emphasizes that the scholarship program not only covers tuition fees but also provides opportunities for professional practice and potential employment upon graduation. The company views this as an investment in the future of Serbia’s energy sector, with a focus on recruiting young, motivated engineers to contribute to the modernization and professionalization of EPS.
In late October and early November, EPS representatives participated in career fairs at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, engaging with students and discussing the company’s operations, challenges from new development projects, and the importance of practical experience. EPS experts highlighted the value of continuous professional development, which the company supports through internships and employment programs.
