Government bonds increased turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange

The index of the most liquid shares, Belex15, rose last week by 0.6 percent, to 874.4 points on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.

According to the announcement of the brokerage house Momentum Securities, the total turnover in trading reached 1.9 billion dinars, ie 16.3 million euros.

A slight increase in turnover was recorded thanks to higher trading in government bonds.

Among the shares from the index basket, the most traded securities were Dunav osiguranje, whose price exceeded the psychological limit of 1,000 dinars.

The share price of the largest domestic insurance company increased by almost three percent, to 997 dinars, with a turnover of 7.2 million dinars, and a week earlier it reached 1,050 dinars, but it did not stay at that level for long. Shares of the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) were once again traded in a narrow price range, with a slight price increase to 715 dinars.

The turnover in trading with that share amounted to only 2.2 million dinars. On July 27th, NIS will announce the results of operations for the second quarter and the first six months, and as stated, a decline in operations is expected compared to last year when the company operated in an environment of extremely high crude oil prices.

The share price of Metalac from Upper Milan increased by 3.2 percent, to 1,600 dinars.

The losers were led by “Nikola Tesla” Airport, whose shares fell by two percent, to 2,055 dinars, with a turnover of less than a million dinars. The concessionaire of the airport, the company Vinci Airports, announced that record traffic was achieved in June and the first six months.

The airport thus served 3.29 million passengers in the January-June period, which represents an annual growth of 53.4 percent, i.e. 25.8 percent more than in 2019.
