– Serbian Minister of Economy Mladjan Dinkic, who has visited that factory accompanied by Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic, presented the first employment contracts to 14 new workers on Friday (August 27, 2010) – it is written in the Ministry of Economy’s statement.
– Grah Automotive’s new production hall worth EUR 11.2m will occupy the surface of 4,500 square meters, and the end of works is expected in mid-October – it is written in the statement.
Dinkic said that the arrival of new investors and creation of new jobs would stop emigration of youth from the Sumadija region.
Grah Automotive in Batocina currently employs 170 workers and has 3 million euros worth of production hall at 2,500 square meters where cable sets for rear view mirrors, mirrors and inner lights for automobiles are produced according to the state-of-the-arts technology
The products of this company are mainly exported to the EU countries.
Cvetkovic said that Grah Automotive was an example of successful greenfield investment that maintained profitable production and paid salaries and obligations to the state on regular basis.
According to Dinkic, Grah Automotive has the contract for production prior to 2014, which is very important because of the workers who will have safe employment in the years to come.
– We have decided to help this company by granting incentives in amount of EUR 4,000 for each newly employed worker, and we will also help the municipality of Batocina. By the end of the year, 30 million dinars will be set aside from NIP for construction of gas pipeline in this municipality – said Dinkic.
