Serbia’s new banking law to safeguard consumers from high interest rates and fraudulent practices

The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications has announced that, according to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the average salary for employees in the ICT sector (programmers) in October 2024 amounted to 282,200 dinars. The statement highlights that, among all professions in Serbia, computer programmers earned the highest average monthly salaries in 2024.

According to the latest statistical data, from January to October 2024, the export of products and services in the information and communication technology sector reached a value of 3.3 billion euros, marking a 20% increase compared to the same period in the record-setting year of 2023.

From 2012 to 2023, the export revenue from ICT services and products grew tenfold, reaching 3.44 billion euros in 2023. Based on the current results, it is expected that the export value in 2024 has reached 4 billion euros.
