Industrial production in Serbia in September of this year was lower by 0.3 percent compared to the same month last year, and compared to the average in 2021, it was higher by 1.9 percent, the Republic Statistical Office announced today.
In the mining sector, almost all activities had a decline this September compared to September last year, with the exception of the exploitation of metal ore, in which the growth in that period was 18.8 percent.
The biggest fluctuations are in the processing industry, which recorded a slight decline overall.
Observed by activities within this industry, the largest decline was recorded in the production of basic metals of 36.6 percent, while the largest growth of 92 percent was in the segment of the production of other means of transport.
The production of computers, electronic and optical products also recorded a growth of 68.4 percent in this period, a slightly smaller growth was in the repair and assembly of equipment, but also in other processing activities, as well as in the production of paper and chemicals, Danas reports.
