Million EUR from export of meat products in Russia – “Serbian-Russian trade house” plans to open a line for processing of fruits and vegetables

The entire year’s production of meat products and canned ready meals from the company “Serbian-Russian trade house” in Srpska Crnja, worth one million euros, was exported to Russia, it was announced yesterday to Tanjug in the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Zrenjanin.

This modern meat factory based in a small town in Banat, on the Serbian-Romanian border, was opened in late April last year, with reconstruction of old facilities and acquisition of cutting-edge technology, based on joint venture of Russian investors and the Provincial Department of Science and Technological Development. The value of investments at this stage amounted to 2 million EUR.

From the “Serbian-Russian house”, which employs 60 workers, with the production of meat cuts, hams, pate and canned meat, it was announced that there would be an increase in production volume and expansion of product range, through investment in construction of a line for processing and drying of fruits and vegetables, which will be exported in Russia, as well as in other countries.
