Minth Automotive Europe seeks approval for new production facility in Loznica

The Chinese company, Minth Automotive Europe d.o.o., has submitted a request to the Ministry of Environmental Protection for consent regarding the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the construction of Production and Business Facility III within the Minth industrial complex in Loznica.

In 2022, Minth opened a plant in Loznica to produce automotive parts and has recently received a EUR 23.5 million subsidy from the government to support the second phase of the factory’s expansion.

According to the Environmental Impact Assessment Study prepared by Envico d.o.o. Belgrade, the new plant in Loznica will focus on manufacturing aluminum profiles for the automotive industry. The study outlines plans for the construction of a facility for aluminum extrusion and electrolytic surface treatment using a titanium-based passivation process.

The Minth complex is located in the “Å epak” industrial zone in Loznica, covering a total area of 290,810 m². The new facility will occupy 5,868.92 m² within this complex.

The report notes that Facility I, which handles extrusion and aging processes, is already operational on the site. Facility II, currently under construction, will support anodizing, machining, polishing, and aging, covering 42,903.74 m². Facility IV will provide space for washing and CNC processing, spanning 24,021.57 m². In addition to the planned facility III, a production-storage building is also set to be built to house production molds and workshops.

The new facility will feature two extrusion lines, with an annual capacity of 4,500 and 5,500 tons, respectively. Once fully operational, the factory will have a total aluminum rod consumption capacity of 50,000 tons per year.
