Outdoor Recycling Center and Landfill in Jagodina – Austrian company “Porr Werner&Weber” invested eur 8 million

Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Oliver Dulic and Jagodina Mayor Dragan Marković opened yesterday the Regional recycling center and landfill Gigoš, ten kilometers from Jagodina, in which the Austrian company has invested EUR 8 million.

Dulic specified, on this occassion, that the recycling center, which was built by the company ” Porr Werner & Weber ” from Vienna, has an initial capacity of 250 tons of waste on daily basis.

He stated that the landfill spreads on the area of 15.5 hectares, and he pointed out that the mentioned facilities were built to the highest European standards.

According to his words, Serbia should be, in the next two years, fully covered by modern systems for waste management.

– Ministry of Environment and Spatiall Planning will propose in November a new law that will enable the development of that significant area – said the Minister.
