“Nitex” in May goes on sale

Privatization Agency of Serbia has failed for 13 May bid for the sale of the Nis textile factory Nitex, in which Italy’s Benetton plans to open its production.
As stated in the announcement of the Privatization Agency, the sales documents for Nitex will be available until 15 April, and the starting bid at the auction will be three million.

Head Office for local economic development of the city of Nis Milan Randjelovic said that the auction for Nitex scheduled in accordance with the law.
“Agreement on the project are foreseen Benetton in several stages, and one of them to purchase property. Meanwhile, Benetton is working on reconstruction projects in production facilities and registered a Nitex company in Serbia, “said Randjelovic.

He said that the purchase contract with Benetton to be signed only after the auction in mid-May, and not as previously announced in mid-April, which he said could move the start of production of Benetton in Nitex but for a short time .
