Retail sales in Serbia show steady growth in November 2024

According to the report from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (RZS), retail trade in November 2024 showed a 4.1% increase in current prices compared to the same month last year, and a 1.4% increase in constant prices (adjusted for inflation).

When comparing the first eleven months of 2024 to the same period in 2023, retail trade increased by 9.6% in current prices and 5.8% in constant prices, which accounts for inflationary effects.

Retail sales of food, beverages, and tobacco recorded a 5.9% increase in constant prices over the eleven-month period, while the year-on-year growth for November was a modest 0.1%.

Non-food retail sales grew by 2.5% year-on-year in November, and by 7.8% for the first eleven months of 2024 compared to the same period in the previous year.

In both time periods, retail sales of motor fuels saw a 2% growth, according to the RZS report.
