Russia and Serbia reach agreement on new gas deal, Ambassador confirms

The Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Aleksandar Bocan-Kharchenko, confirmed that a new gas agreement between Russia and Serbia has been agreed upon at the highest level. He explained that experts are currently working on coordinating the details of the agreement.

Speaking to Newsmax Balkans, Bocan-Kharchenko expressed his optimism about the upcoming deal, which will ensure the regular delivery of Russian gas to Serbia—a crucial factor for the country’s economic development and social stability.

“Serbia is supplied via the Turkish Stream gas pipeline. We expect the countries receiving gas through this pipeline to respond to Ukraine’s attempts to target energy infrastructure, including crucial parts of the Turkish Stream,” Bocan-Kharchenko said.
