Russia accepts invitation to EXPO 2027 Belgrade and supports Serbia’s infrastructure plans

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Russia has accepted the invitation to participate in the EXPO 2027 Specialized Exhibition to be held in Belgrade and wished Serbia a successful hosting of the important event. “Russia was invited to participate in EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, and we accepted the invitation with gratitude. Today, Marko Djurić confirmed that we will be welcomed there, and I take him at his word, as he promised the best location for the Russian pavilion. We wish our Serbian friends a successful hosting of this important event,” Lavrov said in response to a journalist’s question regarding Russia’s participation in EXPO 2027 and the significance of the event for Russia.

He also mentioned that Russia had confirmed its readiness for joint cooperation with Serbia regarding the extensive plans for modernizing transport infrastructure related to the EXPO 2027 event.
