Serbia and Azerbaijan sign seven agreements on cooperation in several remits

 

Serbia and Azerbaijan yesterday signed seven agreements and five memorandums on cooperation in several remits – emergency situations, investment encouragement, culture, education, sport, agriculture, environmental protection, transport, industry and energy and air traffic.

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic and Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov signed an agreement on cooperation in emergency situations.

Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric and Mammadyarov signed an agreement on encouragement and protection of investment and a memorandum on mutual cooperation in tourism.

An agreement on cooperation in education was signed by Minister of Education and Science Zarko Obradovic and Mammadyarov, while Minister of Youth and Sport Snezana Samardzic-Markovic and Mammadyarov signed an agreement on cooperation in youth and sports issues.

Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic and Azerbaijani Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Bagirov Huseingulu signed an agreement on environmental protection.

An agreement on cooperation in culture was signed by Minister of Culture, Media and Information Society Predrag Markovic and Mammadyarov.

Also, an agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs was signed today.

Minister of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management Dusan Petrovic and Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov signed today a memorandum of understanding in the field of agriculture.

A memorandum of understanding in the field of transport between the Serbian Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport was signed by Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Milutin Mrkonjic and Mammadyarov.

Mrkonjic and Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev signed a memorandum on mutual assistance and cooperation in the field of industry and energy.

A memorandum of understanding in the field of air transport between the Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia and the Agency for Air Transport of Azerbaijan was signed by the Head of the Directorate Nebojsa Starcevic and President of Azerbaijan Airlines Jahangir Askerov.

A delegation of Azerbaijan, led by the country’s President Ilham Aliyev, is on a two-day official visit to Serbia.
