Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s economic ties reach nearly €3 billion, urging collaborative industrial growth

The economic exchange between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina has reached nearly three billion euros, according to Adrijana Mesarović, Serbia’s Minister of Economy. Speaking at the opening of the Economic Fair in Tešanj, she acknowledged the impressive figure but emphasized the need for further growth. “We must focus on strengthening our industrial potential and developing regional products, reminiscent of our past successes. Serbia aims to be a partner for all in the region, as isolated economies cannot thrive. We need to build for future markets and generations,” she stated.

Mesarović highlighted the importance of collaborative forecasting of trends, understanding needs, and sharing experiences to foster economic development. She noted that the Economic Fair serves as a platform for business leaders to connect and share visions, which is crucial for achieving desired economic growth. “Empowering leaders and supporting their vision is key to our industrial and economic development, with infrastructure growth as a top priority,” she added.

The minister also visited the National Stand of Serbia, where 12 exhibitors from various sectors—including agriculture, food, metals, chemicals, transport, recycling, logistics and scientific research—are showcasing their offerings until September 28.
