Serbia and Germany forge strong economic ties: Insights from trade analysis

The President of the Board of Directors at the Center for Advanced Economic Studies, Kori Udovički, recently unveiled findings from an economic analysis examining the evolving trade dynamics between Serbia and Germany.

Udovički underscored Germany’s enduring status as Serbia’s foremost partner, highlighting a notable upsurge in export figures spanning various sectors. Milan Grujić, President of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, lauded the collaborative efforts that have consistently yielded positive outcomes over the years. He emphasized that Serbia’s trade ties with Germany significantly outpace those with any other country globally, indicating a promising trajectory for future collaboration.

Anke Konrad, the German Ambassador to Serbia, acknowledged Serbia’s potential to drive regional economic growth while acknowledging the hurdles that lie ahead. According to data from the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, approximately 900 German companies operate in Serbia, collectively employing over 80,000 individuals.
