Serbia and Germany to host business forum on innovations in agriculture and food production

Next year, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) and the Frankfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) will collaborate to hold a business forum featuring Serbian innovative companies in the digital agriculture and food production sectors. These companies will present cutting-edge domestic solutions to German businesses, as announced by Marko Čadež, president of PKS.

After meeting with Ulrich Casper, president of the Frankfurt IHK, Čadež highlighted that this initiative represents a fresh approach to promoting Serbian companies that provide solutions for traditional industries. “We are organizing a business forum to showcase innovative companies from various fields, including fintech, digital agriculture, and food production. Serbia is home to many strong players in these areas.”

Čadež noted that discussions are currently underway with German partners and companies to facilitate the organization of the business forum in Frankfurt.

“We are in talks with German partners who are sharing specific challenges they face, and we will bring our companies to offer concrete, technology-based solutions. This is a new method for us to present Serbia,” Čadež explained.

Casper underscored the historically strong relationship between IHK and PKS, indicating that economic ties between Serbia and Germany are growing. “We are very pleased to see Serbia increasingly adopting innovative topics, such as expanding dual education and enhancing the presence of IT and computer science in schools. This lays a vital foundation for investment in Serbia and for fruitful collaboration between our economies.”

The IHK president expressed strong interest in bolstering mutual economic cooperation and announced plans for a meeting between German and Serbian companies next year to further strengthen the partnership between the two economies.
