Serbian Minister of Agriculture emphasized the importance of further increasing bilateral trade and enhancing institutional cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting highlighted successful cooperation between Serbia and Hungary in the field of sustainable management of cross-border waters and shared basins. There was also a mutual interest in exchanging experiences in veterinary medicine.
The discussion also covered the possibility of establishing a Serbian Agricultural Chamber, an initiative that the Ministry of Agriculture has already begun. The goal is to improve this sector of the economy and provide adequate support to agricultural producers.
According to Martinović, Hungary’s experience in this area would be significant, as its agricultural chamber could serve as a model for Serbia, as noted in the statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
