Payspot doo from Novi Sad received the permission of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) to issue electronic money.
Payspot can issue payment instruments and enable execution of payment transactions with these instruments.
This company, as an electronic money institution, can provide payment services such as depositing and withdrawing cash, as well as all services required for opening, managing and closing that account.
It can also provide services for transferring funds from a payment account and services for executing payment transactions where the funds are secured by credit.
Payspot was the first company in Serbia that, in addition to the Post Office, enabled payment transactions, said company director Dubravka Bjekić in an interview published on the company’s website.
The company was founded in 2015 and has six co-owners.
The NBS has so far issued five licenses for the issuance of electronic money, to the companies iPay See, Telekom Srbija, LED Pay, the Joint Stock Company for working with payment cards Chip Card and Payspot.
The NBS revoked the first license issued to iPay See in July 2022.
