Serbia forms AI Council and gears up to host global partnership on Artificial Intelligence Conference

Mihailo Jovanović, the Director of the Office for IT and e-Government, announced that within the first 100 days of the new government, a Council for Artificial Intelligence has been established, featuring leading experts in the field from Serbia. He highlighted that Serbia will assume the presidency of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) this December.

“The pinnacle of our work in artificial intelligence this year will occur in December when we host the GPAI. Ministers from all OECD member countries will convene in Belgrade for one of the largest gatherings focused on AI this year,” Jovanović stated in an interview with RTS.

He noted that the Serbian government and the Office for IT and e-Government are dedicated to enhancing electronic services and advancing artificial intelligence to make e-Government more accessible and user-friendly for citizens.
