Serbia: Great importance to regional cooperation and good neighbourly relations

 Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said on Tuesday in a meeting with a delegation of the Croatian parliament deputies who are also members of the parliamentary group of friendship between Serbia and Croatia that Serbia attaches great importance to regional cooperation and good neighbourly relations.

It was concluded that there has been significant progress in promoting bilateral cooperation and actively working on resolving the remaining outstanding issues in relations between the two countries.

EU accession is our joint strategic goal and we are in favour of speedy EU integration of all Western Balkan countries, the Prime Minister stressed.

As for economic cooperation, there is a realistic need and potential to improve it and to further intensify direct communication between Serbian and Croatian businesspeople, he noted.

The participants in the meeting concluded that the two states will continue advocating the improvement of the position of the Croatian minority in Serbia and vice versa, as they have done so far.
