The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated that Serbia is ready to continue with the Russian “Gazprom” to implement projects for the construction of interconnection gas pipelines as a continuation of Turkey through the countries of the European Union.
In an interview for the Russian Soloviev channel on YouTube, Vučić said that he wanted people in Russia to know that Serbia had successfully resisted the pressure.
“We have never been a problem, neither when the South Stream was built (the project was not realized), nor when the Turkish Stream was built, nor the Balkan Stream (continuation of the Turkish Stream),” said Vucic.
He stated that Serbia, together with Gazprom, built a gas pipeline 400 kilometers long and that gas is already flowing through it today.
“We are ready to further expand the interconnectors of this gas pipeline (Turkish Stream) in the region,” Vucic pointed out.
The President of Serbia reminded that Serbia is the only country in Europe that has never introduced any sanctions, measures or decisions against Russia.
“We have never allowed anything to affect our relations with the Russian Federation,” Vucic pointed out, Tanjug reported.
