Serbia plans second round of renewable energy auctions, targets 1,300 MW Capacity

Serbia plans to launch this year the second round of auctions for renewable energy capacity whereby at least 400 MW of wind and solar projects will be offered to potential investors, energy minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said.

Under a three-year auction programme adopted in 2023 Serbia aims to provide at least 1,300 MW of new wind and solar generation capacity through private investment, Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said in a press release on Monday.

In June 2023, Serbia launched its first auction for 400 MW of wind projects and 50 MW of solar projects, assisted by the EBRD.
