Serbia is prioritizing technological innovations in mining and ore processing to ensure high environmental protection standards, stated Foreign Minister Marko Đurić from New York.
Đurić represented Serbia at the Mineral Security Partnership Forum, a gathering of 14 industrially advanced nations, the European Union and the USA, aimed at securing stable global supply chains for mineral resources.
He emphasized that participating in this forum will enhance Serbia’s access to markets and technologies, fostering quality partnerships for mineral exploitation and processing.
Recognizing the need for strategic cooperation in this sector, Đurić highlighted its importance for predictable economic growth and technological advancement.
“As a country rich in mineral resources, Serbia advocates for transparency and sustainability in mineral exploitation and the establishment of sustainable supply chains, understanding that access to strategic raw materials is a security concern for many,” he noted, as reported on the Government’s website.
With rising demand for essential minerals, Đurić stressed the importance of defining strategic priorities for those crucial to Serbia’s economic and industrial development. He emphasized that forward-thinking is vital for navigating the new technological revolution and ensuring Serbia’s continuous progress and prosperity.
