Serbia sees 24.6% increase in new businesses founded by entrepreneurs under 30

In Serbia, from May to November, the number of new businesses founded by entrepreneurs under the age of 30 rose by 24.6% compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Agency for Business Registers (APR).

During this period, from May 6 to November 6, a total of 4,576 companies were established, and 26,484 entrepreneurs were registered. Among them, 10,356 were entrepreneurs under 30, with 926 women serving as legal representatives of the companies.

Minister of Economy, Adrijana Mesarović, emphasized that improving business conditions remains a top priority for the Ministry of Economy. This is being achieved through various support programs, grants, and fostering closer cooperation between the ministry and APR to enhance efficiency and simplify business processes.

During the visit, the Acting Director of APR, Bojana Stojmenović, and her team introduced a new digital portal designed to streamline the delivery of data to state bodies, businesses, and citizens. The new tool will provide enhanced data analytics, complex reports, and new features that will improve the utility of the data available from APR’s electronic databases.
