Serbia’s tourism hits record high with 11% growth in foreign visitors in 2024

The Director of the Tourism Organization of Serbia, Marija Labović, stated that 2024 will be a record-breaking year for Serbian tourism, with an 11% increase in the number of foreign tourists.

In an interview with Politika, Labović explained that the increase in overnight stays has led to an 11% higher foreign currency inflow from tourism during the first 10 months of this year compared to the same period in 2023. According to the latest data from the National Bank of Serbia, the foreign currency inflow reached 2.3 billion euros by October, Labović added.

She also noted that the highest number of overnight stays up to October came from tourists from Russia, Turkey, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Germany. Tourists from Romania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia and Bulgaria also ranked in the top 10.
