Serbia promotes tourism and EXPO 2027 at Vienna International Fair

At the International Tourism Fair in Vienna, Ferien Messe, held from January 16 to 19, 32 Serbian companies, institutions and representatives from the hotel and event tourism sectors will present their offerings, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) announced.

A special focus during the fair will be on promoting the upcoming EXPO 2027, which will be held in Belgrade. On the first day of the fair, the Serbian stand was visited by Serbia’s Ambassador to Vienna, Marko Blagojević, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, Vladimir Gak. According to the announcement, the goal of Serbia’s presentation, along with its members, is to enhance tourism cooperation, particularly increasing the number of tourists between Serbia and Austria, as well as networking with the Serbian diaspora. Additionally, the fair aims to showcase Serbia to the audience of all participating countries and individual visitors, Tanjug reported.

The fair brings together representatives from the tourism industry of over 80 countries, with around 50,000 visitors expected to explore the tourism potential of Serbia. Last year, 44,702 Austrian tourists visited Serbia, with over 100,000 overnight stays recorded.
