Serbia proposes 2024 Budget Amendments to boost family support and infrastructure development

The Government of Serbia has approved the Draft Law on Amendments to the Budget Law for 2024, projecting total planned revenues of 2,173.4 billion dinars, as announced by Prime Minister Miloš Vučević following the Government session.

Vucevic highlighted that the budget will increase by 132.5 billion dinars. He noted positive developments, including an allocation of 25 billion dinars to support families with children and an additional 20 billion for healthcare.

Furthermore, Vucevic mentioned that farmers and herders will benefit from a 20 billion dinar increase in subsidies. He emphasized the commitment to enhancing traffic infrastructure, including funding for new trains, specifically for a line connecting the capital to Nikola Tesla Airport and Expo. The government is also preparing the necessary infrastructure for the potential reinstatement of military service.
