Serbia’s IT company, Execom, wins best entrepreneur award in 2010

Serbia’s Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said on Friday that entrepreneurship is the basis of all developed markets and that the Serbian government will actively support entrepreneurs, particularly their export potential.

Cvetkovic delivered the award of the daily Blic to the best entrepreneur in 2010 Petar Ilic, the owner of Execom company from Novi Sad which specialises in designing and programming information systems.

We plan to get involved more actively in the development of entrepreneurship with the support of some existing and some new measures, the Prime Minister said.
Deputy President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa Marco Capellini presented the owner of Execom with a €30,000 cheque. 
The competitors for the award were maker of cosmetic products Aura from Nis, dairy producer Mlekara Velickovic from Surdulica, furniture maker Atlas from Uzice and manufacturer of metal products Almag from Kladovo.

The jury included Director of Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) Bozidar Laganin, Deputy CEO of Banca Intesa Marco Capellini, Director of the National Employment Service Dejan Jovanovic, SIEPA Deputy Director Goran Dzafic, Special Adviser at the Ministry of Finance Bogdan Popovic and Advisor at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) Svetlana Babic.

The jury examined companies’ profitability, productivity and liquidity, export performance, number of employees, technological innovation, environmental protection and contribution of community development.
The awarded company employs 55 people, whose average age is about 30.
“Blic Entrepreneur 2010” for the best entrepreneurs is for the fourth time organised by daily Blic and Banca Intesa.
