Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Serbian government and Norwegian Foreign Ministry

The Memorandum of Understanding refers to the Programme of assistance as part of bilateral cooperation in 2010. The approved funds, worth 56,241,622 NOK (approximately €7.14 million) will be released in Serbia this year.

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic and Norwegian Ambassador to Serbia Nils Ragnar Kamsvag will sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Serbian government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway at 10.30 on 5 April, Serbian government building, Nemanjina 11.

The Memorandum of Understanding refers to the Programme of assistance as part of bilateral cooperation in 2010. The approved funds, worth 56,241,622 NOK (approximately €7.14 million) will be released in Serbia this year.

The bilateral aid programme is part of the assistance provided by the Kingdom of Norway to Serbia and is primarily intended as support to the reform processes aimed at strengthening cooperation with the EU and integration, institution building and reforms, stabilisation and conflict prevention, economic development and job creation and assistance to vulnerable groups.

The Kingdom of Norway, as one of the most important bilateral donor since 1999 offers support to Serbia in the European integration process, with special emphasis on political, economic and social reforms, rule of law and development of democracy.
