Slovakian Aqua Terming Invest builds aqua park in Backi Petrovac – 21 million euros

Aqua Terming Invest from Slovakia is going to invest 21 million euros in construction of an aqua park in Backi Petrovac.

– This up-to-date and the largest aqua-park in the Balkans will first employ 100 people, and that number should later grow to 500. The opening of that complex will also create possibilities for numerous entrepreneurial initiatives – said Jan Britka, the representative of the investor and CEO of L.B. Park, a daughter company of the Slovakian company.

The people of Petrovac count on return of many of 300 educated fellow citizens who mainly left for Slovakia to study and then stayed there. That process may start already in one year when the aqua park will be finished.

Knowing our administration and procedures for getting various consents for building permits, the investors have signed the unique agreement in Serbia with the local self-government, which took on only one task – to maximally shorten all procedures and treat the requests of Aqua Terming Invest as priorities.

– We started off excellently because, at our request, the Ministry of Agriculture reacted quickly and carried out the procedure for separation of private from state-owned land in only few days and, thus, made it possible for a parcel of 20 hectares to be set aside for construction of the aqua park – people’s representative Pavel Marčok told weekly paper Blic Nedelje.
