Southern Stream gas line will be built

The international gas line “Southern Stream” will be built because it is in the interest of both Russia and the EU, it has been communicated at the presentation of that project in Belgrade. Minister of Ecology and Mining Oliver Dulic has pointed out that the biggest transit route of that line will be passing through Serbia, so our country stands as the bridge between Russia and Europe in the realization of the gas line, which is a significant political capital. Serbia will do everything to extend supporting the realization of this project, emphasized Dulic. He has reminded that the construction of the 470km section through Serbia will cost 700 million euro, and the annual capacity of that part of the gas line will be 40 billion cubic meters, while employing thousands of workers. The Director General of the “Southern Stream” Marcel Kramer has underlined that the most important goal of that line is to provide stable and safe transportation of gas to the consumers. Director General of the Srbijagas Company Dusan Bajatovic has pointed that Serbia will be the main regional knot in the supply of gas.
