Spanish Ambassador to Belgrade Inigo de Palacio Espana said last night that he intended to talk with the authorities of Belgrade and Serbia about possible continuation of work of Spanish Ineco on preparation of the plan for traffic network in Belgrade.
He said to the press in the Embassy in Belgrade that, prior to April 2010, Ineco had been the consulting company entrusted with the making of the complete plan for traffic network in Belgrade, including the metro project.
– Ineco made a preliminary plan for line no. 1 of the future metro in Belgrade, it had been providing the consulting services for four years, but, “unfortunately, the experts of that company have been prevented from continuing their work” – said the Ambassador.
He added that he intended to talk again about possible continuation of work on those projects with both the authorities of Belgrade and the representatives of Serbia.
Ineco’s experts are now in Mexico and the Ambassador says that the construction of subways in Panama, Abu Dhabi, Bogota and New Delhi is sufficient to recommend the Spanish company for the construction of metro in Belgrade.
