Stelantis will produce two models of electric cars in Serbia

Testing of the new electric “Panda” is expected to start soon on the streets of Kragujevac. Additionally, part of the production of the “Citroen e-C3” will be transferred from Slovakia to Stellantis’ factory in Serbia.

Thus, two models of electric cars based on the Citroen platform will be produced in Serbia. Igor Vijatov, director of the Automotive Cluster Serbia, explains that the Kragujevac factory will fully produce the “Fiat Panda,” which will be a redesigned small SUV, set to be unveiled to the public on July 11th, the anniversary of Fiat.

This model will be exclusively produced in Serbia. The electric ‘Citroen,’ which will be manufactured in Slovakia from next year, will also be partially assembled here,” says Vijatov.

For these two vehicles, there will be two different battery variants: a cheaper one with a shorter range of up to 200 kilometers, and a more expensive one with a range of up to 300 kilometers. Stellantis’s operations in 2022: Although Stellantis is trying to keep this information confidential, much is already known. According to the information I have, the ‘Fiat Panda’ will cost between 20,000 and 21,000 euros.

Considering that the state provides subsidies for the purchase of electric cars amounting to 5,000 euros, it will not be an expensive car,” says Vijatov, recalling that the ‘Fiat 500 L,’ which was produced in Kragujevac until recently, cost between 10,000 and 15,000 euros.

It has been announced that the starting price of the ‘Citroen e-C3’ is 23,300 euros, and sales will begin in 2024. Also, Citroen has announced a cheaper 2-C3 version with a range of up to 200 kilometers for 2025, with a price starting at 19,900 euros.
