Strategic partners for construction of steam power plants to be selected soon

The Minister of Energy and Mining, Petar Škundrić, said yesterday (June 3, 2010) in Kragujevac that he expected the tender procedure for steam power plants Nikola Tesla 3 and Kolubara B to be finished within the next two months.

– All the conditions are created for us to bring the big tender procedure to the end and we should select strategic partners for construction of steam power plants Nikola Tesla 3 and Kolubara B – said Škundrić.

– Steam power plant Nikola Tesla 3 should be put in operation with minimum installed power of 700 MW, which will also be the power of Kolubara B – said Škundrić.

He said that the pre-tender procedure for selection of the strategic partner for gas power plant – heating plant TE-TO Novi Sad, of which capacity was 450 MW, was underway.

Škunrdić also expressed belief that the tender for construction of a thermal capacity for production of electric power in Štavalj, with the capacity of about 500 MW, would be announced within the next two or three months.
