Presidents of Serbia and Montenegro, Boris Tadic and Filip Vujanovic respectively, have opened, in Herceg Novi Montenegro, the Consulate of the Republic of Serbia, with joint assessment that it builds another bridge of cooperation between the two countries and their peoples. Serbia’s President Tadic has emphasized that Belgrade wishes for stronger cooperation with Podgorica and added that there is no hidden agenda in the Serbian policy towards Montenegro. While reminding that the bilateral relations had had some drops, especially after Montenegro had recognized the self-proclaimed independence of Kosmet, Tadic has added that the things should still be viewed from some better angle. The opening ceremony was attended by other officials of the two countries, representatives of Serb parties in Montenegro and Metropolitan of Montenegro and Littoral Amfilohije. The new Serbian Consul in Montenegro will be Marina Jovicevic, hitherto assistant of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
