“It is a long decision, the essence is that Europeans have left themselves the opportunity to do business with Gazpromneft on their territory and import and export oil from Russia, but that third countries where companies and refineries are majority owned by Russians cannot import Russian oil”, said the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
That decision is strange for us, said Vučić, and we are talking to the EU, American partners and Russian partners.
“They did not punish the Russians, they did not punish themselves, they punished us,” said Vucic.
We are talking about Serbia being exempted from that decision and we hope that it will be resolved in the next 48 hours, the Serbian president added, adding that talks with the Russians were held this morning and that we have three options if Serbia is not exempted.
The situation is very complicated for us, but we will solve it, said Vučić, Pravda reports.
