The first sales contracts for the new corn and sunflower crop have been concluded

The past week was marked by the conclusion of the first exchange contract for a new crop of corn and sunflower on the domestic commodity market. During five working days, the Novi Sad Product Exchange recorded a decrease in turnover of 4.90 percent compared to last week, where a total of 1,998 tons of goods were traded, with a total value of EUR 409 thousand (-24.28 percent weekly).

As in the previous week, corn was the most traded crop on the commodity exchange market, accounting for 54 percent of the total trade.

Corn was traded in the price range from EUR/kg 0.14 to 0.15 without VAT. The weighted price was EUR/kg 0.15 without VAT, with a noticeable price drop of 1.20 percent. During this week, the first contract for corn of the new crop was concluded, at a price of EUR/kg 0.15 without VAT, with delivery from 01.10. until 30.11.2023.

Wheat was traded at a single price level of EUR/kg 0.17without VAT, with a price drop of 0.92 percent.

In the soybean market, at the beginning of the week there was a noticeable weaker demand, while at the end of the week there was a noticeable weaker supply. Soybeans were traded at a price from EUR/kg 0.47 (with quality calculation) to EUR/kg 0.48 (without quality calculation), with a price weight of EUR/kg 0.47 without VAT.

Among other goods, a stock exchange contract was concluded for a new crop of sunflowers at CPT parity, the buyer with payment immediately upon delivery at a price of EUR/kg 0.35 without VAT.
