The index of the most liquid stocks, Belex15, strengthened by 1.2 percent

The index of the most liquid stocks on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, Belex15, strengthened by 1.2 percent last week, reaching 895.1 points, as announced today by the brokerage house v.

The absolute dominance in trading was held by Messer Tehnogas shares, and the total trading turnover was worth 256.2 million dinars (2.2 million euros).

The trading volume of Tehnogas shares amounted to 29.3 million dinars, and the price increased by 6.1 percent, reaching 18,307 dinars.

Since mid-January, there has been more active trading in these shares, and since then, their value has increased by about 17 percent. It is speculated, as mentioned, that the majority owner of the company, Messer, who holds an ownership stake of nearly 82 percent, has initiated a consolidation of ownership in the company after more than 20 years of stock market listing.

Metalac shares had a decent turnover of 15.1 million dinars, but at an unchanged price of 1,550 dinars. Dunav Osiguranje shares slightly weakened to 915 dinars, with a turnover of 4.8 million dinars.

The price of Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) shares dropped by 0.9 percent to 804 dinars, with trading worth 4.5 million dinars.

There was a solid price increase of 4.1 percent, reaching 1,821 dinars, for the shares of Belgrade Airport ‘Nikola Tesla’, but with relatively modest investment activity.

The leading losers were Impol Seval, whose shares depreciated by 7.2 percent, reaching 5,430 dinars. The company had a record profit in 2022, reaching its historical maximum of 6,700 dinars per share in the spring of last year. Following a significant drop in global demand and production with reduced capacities, the company managed to achieve a profit of ‘several million euros’ in 2023, as recently stated by the company’s director.
