The value of construction works in 2022 is EUR 5.2 billion

The value of construction works by domestic contractors in Serbia in 2022 amounted to EUR 5.2 billion, and almost EUR 170 million abroad, the Republic Institute of Statistics announced today.

By region, the value of construction works is the highest in the Belgrade region, then in the Vojvodina region, in the Ĺ umadija and Western Serbia region and in the South and Eastern Serbia region.

In Serbia, 4.5 apartments per 1,000 inhabitants were built last year, that is, 29,659 apartments with an average area of ​​72.3 square meters. In 2021, 28,874 apartments were built.

While 30,177 building permits were issued in 2021, 29,344 permits were issued in 2022, of which 12,999 related to the construction of new buildings.
